Earthquaker Devices Sunn O))) Life Pedal
Originally born from a collaboration between pedal makers EarthQuaker Devices and drone metal fuzz lords Sunn O))) the first version of the Life Pedal was released in 2019 following the release of Sunn O)))’s Life Metal album. The original Life Pedal opened the door to the fuzzed out heaviness from that album. Three independent circuits include a monophonic octave-down effect, a Whiteface Proco Rat–style distortion circuit, and a distortion-free boost circuit.
The first release of the pedal was produced in a limited edition run of 1,000 units, which sold out within hours. The original units – if you can find one – now fetch a hefty resale price online.
Fortunately Earthquaker Devices have released a second edition of the Life Pedal. This time limited to 2,500 units world wide.
